The Outlet Shoppes at Laredo to celebrate 5th anniversary

The Outlet Shoppes at Laredo revealed the details of its fifth anniversary celebration in downtown Laredo on March 17, 2017. This significant milestone will be celebrated with a series of activities and events that last a month.

Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The celebration will begin with the Laredo Main Street/El Centro de Laredos Farmers Market, and Pop-Up Shop, featuring local vendors, artisans, and more. The festivities include entertainment for the whole family, including live entertainment, whimsical stilt walking, character meet-and-greets, balloon artists and face painting.

The Outlet Shoppes in Laredo has been a popular shopping destination for South Texas and Northern Mexico over the past five years. It has partnered with many nonprofit and civic organizations to become an integral part the Laredo community. It has hosted many community events such the Sister Cities Festival, various cultural events and educational activities.

Over $300,000 has been donated to worthy causes by the center’s philanthropic donations. Outlet Shoppes created over 1,000 new jobs for the local economy.

“We’ve changed the shopping landscape of Laredo,”Dan Davila is Outlet Shoppes’ General Manager. “We attract shoppers from a radius greater than 300 miles. We look forward to celebrating many more years in this community.”

Post-Covid has been an active incubator of new businesses through their Pop-Up Shops. They are currently focusing on attracting new stores to Laredo.

The Outlet Shoppes at Laredo has a 358,000-square-foot, two-level outlet shopping centre located on the banks and Rio Grande in downtown Laredo. The center features nationally-recognized designer stores like Michael Kors and Vera Bradley, Calvin Klein, Under Armour and Calvin Klein, as well as a Nike Factory Clearance Store. It also offers fast-casual food options Auntie Anne’s Pretzels/Cinnabon and Stone and Stein Pizzeria.
