Getty 25 Celebrates WattsA 25th anniversary is a moment to be celebrated. However, The Getty Center has created many significant moments this year to celebrate its milestone. Many communities hosted free festivals. WattsAugust 27-28. This festival is the last in the celebratory series. It will feature live music, art-making and dance performances, as well as crafts, joy, and a full two days of celebration. This Ain’t No Picnic!A mondo music extravaganza will be held at Brookside Park at Rose Bowl over two days. This is a big deal, and the headlining acts include Jorja Smith and Le Tigre. Beach House, Phoebe Bridgers, LCD Soundsystem, Le Tigre and Jorja Smith will all be there on Aug. 27. “Art of Costume Design in Television” Exhibit:A TV fan can have a great time looking at dozens of outfits from twenty shows. This is especially true when the gowns or suits you see are the actual costumes worn on the series. “Bridgerton” “Stranger Things.”This sartorial thrill can be found at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, DTLA. This annual celebration of TV Fashion is about to enter its first weekend. The exhibit is free to view and will remain open through Nov. 5. However, it is closed Sundays and Mondays.
