Alright everybody, it’s time to brainstorm Thanksgiving outfit ideas. Turkey Day is for me the most difficult holiday to dress up because, while I want to look my best, it feels a little silly getting all dressed up just to sit down and enjoy a glass of wine with my cousins. Plus, I’m pretty sure I don’t have to dress up for Turkey Day. AlwaysStart the night in trendy pants and end it with slightly unbuttoned pants from post-pie puff. These are my struggles. Does anyone else experience them??
Regardless, I Do plan on looking cute. It’s been a long year, and following my technically-pointless desire to get all dressed up qualifies as practicing optimism. Hey, maybe I’ll get a cute photo to post on IG!
Even if only my close family members get to see my look, I still want to make sure it’s cute, so I’ve been deep-stalking the Zara website to see what my options are. I’m definitely leaning towards a dress (more room for dessert!But is it too long or too short? Fitted or loose? Knit or faux leather? From there, I’ll have to sort out my accessories—can I wear slippers? What about flats? LookSlippers? Will people think I put in a lot of effort if I accumulate too much chain jewelry?
