Suspicious package near Fashion Fair Mall deemed safe, roads back open

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN), — Major traffic problems were caused by a suspicious package near Northeast Fresno’s Fashion Fair Mall.

Police were alerted to the package Friday afternoon around 1:30 pm near Valley First Credit Union, Shaw Avenue and Angus Street.

As police created a perimeter around the package, bank employees were evacuated.

Officers used a robot to safely remove the bomb squad.

Traffic is now moving smoothly again, as the scene has been cleared.
