Although it seems impossible to visit multiple worlds within an hour, one business in Sumter makes it possible.
Sumterites can now experience something new and exciting at their backdoor with Xclusive Selfie World, which opened July 23.
Owner duo Joshua Gholson and Jasmine Cowan opened the business to give the area’s younger generation, their generation and everyone in between something fresh and new.

“Every piece of paint, drywall, that was us,”Gholson stated.
From top to bottom, each room was designed and built by Gholson & Cowan. In total, 22 different setups let visitors’ minds run wild with photography. Every inch of the walls is covered in decorations, including a gaming room for relaxation and a kid’s zone.
“We are a little more than a selfie museum,”Gholson said. “We are also a content studio and allow videographers and photographers to come in with clients, models and shoot professionally, too.”Youtubers or Tiktokers are also welcome to visit, create content in any space they choose, or book a space for an event.
The interactive rooms allow people to throw money, call Barbie or be angels. You just need to pair your Bluetooth remote with a Bluetooth phone to capture photos, move around in the rooms, and snap away. Gholson can also be used as the in-house photog.

“My prices vary depending on outfits and time, but if people want more of a professional setup, I am right here,”He said.
Adults pay $20, children are $15, and children below 3 years old are free. One hour of admission gives you the opportunity to take as many photos as you want.
Sunny, a Ball Python snake called Sunny, is also available by the owners to be used in photos and videos.
“She is really nice, and we have had a few people already take photos with her. They love it,”Cowan stated.
The business has been solid and the pair plans to expand across South Carolina in the coming years. For now, the duo will concentrate on providing Sumter residents with every possible world without becoming boring. Each month there will be a new set-up in each room. You can also expect holiday-themed sets to be available.
“There will be at least four rooms that are Halloween-themed, and don’t worry about Christmas. We have that covered as well,”Cowan stated.
Xclusive Selfie World will be open Monday through Saturday, from noon to 9 p.m.
