eBay continues to promote its luxury watches offering through a series of online conversations called Old School Meets New School.

The idea behind the series is that luxury goods and high fashion, such as prestige watches, are timeless and beloved by all generations.

In the first episode, Iris Apfel, a fashion icon and 100-year old designer, meets Lil Yachty, an Atlanta-based rapper (and avid watch-collector)

“I love mixing high and low,” Ms Apfel answers Mr Yachty’s question about jewelry and watches. “I will put on a very expensive watch with a bunch of tacky little bracelets,” She continues.

She then questions if the rapper wears more wristwatches at once. “It is not my personal thing,” He replies. “I like the more classy thing of one watch. That is a very trendy thing in rap,” He adds.

The video can be found at eBay’s new Instagram page dedicated to watches @ebaywatches.
