Based on the fact that electrical outlets can cause severe shock and burns to children, the two groups are joining forces to address this issue. Kendall Burdick (a Umass/Baystate Medical School Student) prompted the partnership.

Burdick had the idea to support Square One’s families by giving electrical outlet safety plugs to all Square One households. Square One provides early learning services for over 500 children, including toddlers and school-age children, every day. They also offer support services for 1,500 families every single year.
