CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (KDVR) — The Outlets at Castle Rock is hoping to bounce back in a big way on Black Friday after COVID sent a lot of people shopping online during the thick of the pandemic.

Douglas County has no mask mandate. The Outlets at Castle Rock follows Douglas County guidance. There are no shops inside, so you will need to walk outside to find another shop. 

Black Friday and Cyber Monday have been competing for customers over the years. According to the  National Retail FederationIn 2020, 186.4 million U.S. shoppers visited Thanksgiving weekend (Turkey Day through Cyber Monday). This was 1.7% less than the 189.6million U.S. shoppers who attended the same weekend in 2019. Thanksgiving weekend saw 165.8 million shoppers in 2018, and 174.6 million in 2017. 

According to BlackFriday.com Shopping And Spending Survey, Black Friday and Cyber Monday have been battling for supremacy over the years. Cyber Monday was the most popular day for consumers to shop in 2020. 30% of those surveyed said they would shop Cyber Monday sales, while 24% said they would shop Black Friday. 

The Outlets at Castle Rock are open 6 a.m – 9 p.m. on Black Friday.
