As days are getting colder, and offices are re-opening, it’s time to make some preparations for the coming season. While fall/winter 2021 looks much different than past seasons, comfort remains an exciting trend for fall 2021. This season, comfort pieces can be used to create extremely elevated and comfortable looks.
No doubt, as employees return to their offices and work events, comfort makes a great return.Truthfully, whether people are working in-person or still working remotely, there’s an urban vibe blending artistic expression and refined craftsmanship with the finest materials to create a romantic vision empowering women —in a more casual way.
Relaxed-meets smart tailoring has a variety of classic and comfortable styles. Comfort was largely due to the pandemic. Generational shifts in consumer fashion toward comfort signal a reenergized work wardrobe. Products include complete-sets with color-contrasting details, soft knits, and soft knits that only become softer over time. This makes it easy to lounge in style for both casual weekend semi-formal settings as well as the office.
Many of my viewers may believe they have seen comfort fashion before. Although comfort style is a familiar concept, new products offer a modern take on the traditional wardrobe. They are both cozy and well-made and have messages of optimism and empowerment. Luxury brands have been encouraged to embrace comfortable clothes as optimism has led to talk of a reopening of the world. This gives us plenty to look forward for in the coming season.
After careful analysis of fall/winter 2021 trends, both from myself and my fashion staff, I can say that it will be a popular time for comfort apparel at work and in casual settings. You’re about to see knitwear in a whole new way. The trends below are my favorites, and I hope you will be as excited. Emma Cunnington (my fashion editor) says these looks will make you feel cozy and comfortable all day.
