The Fashion Show is Back.
That’s the name of the Careers Technical Education’s Fashion Merchandising event on Saturday, May 7, at Manteca High.
CTE Fashion Show has been cancelled for the past 2 years due to pandemic. The event will be held on Garfield Street, near MHS Winter Gym, and will start at 6 p.m.
Ninety models, made up of students and staff members from MHS and East Union, Sierra High and Lathrop High, will display the latest fashion and design trends.
These categories include Theater, Thrift Store, Theater and Denim collections.
Tickets are $5. A VIP section of 200 seats will be available at $10 each.
The proceeds will enable students to attend Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising Fashion Show Los Angeles.
Angie Anaya a CTE instructor says that the 2022 Fashion Show will be once again a collaborative effort. Helping out her Fashion Merchandising & Design students will be those in the MHS Junior Reserves Officers’ Training Corps, CTE Video Production, CTE Culinary Arts, CTE Careers with Children, and MHS Floral classes.
Among the participating businesses will be Target, Old Navy and Maurice’s.
