Citadel will light a 100-foot Christmas Tree at 5 p.m. on November 14. Citadel stated that the tree will be twice as tall than the letters on the famous Hollywood sign. The tree will be decorated by more than 180,000 twinkling lamps and 10,000 ornaments.
Also expect the Citadel to unveil what it calls the world’s largest holiday bow on the castle-like walls of its property.
The massive red bow will be 36′ wide and 21′ high. The bow and its ribbons are decorated with Christmas lights, and half a ton of glitter.
Those visiting the Citadel’s giant tree will be treated to the Snowy Nights and Holiday Lights show, which will run several times every evening from Nov. 14 to the end of the year. The show will be 15 minutes long and will feature snowflakes and dancing laser light bouncing to the beats of Christmas and popular music.
Pandemic safety precautions will be part of this year’s celebrations. The Citadel’s Santa House will feature an actor playing Santa Claus. Santa Claus will require that visitors keep a distance from them if they wish to pay a visit.
The Citadel will also host a toy drive and food drive this season.
