Harry Styles, singer-actor, paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II during his concert at New York’s Madison Square Garden. Harry addressed the audience on Thursday. “From my homeland came some really sad news today. The passing of Queen Elizabeth II. The audience erupted with applause when Harry joined them in clapping for Queen Elizabeth II. After a while, he addressed them and said, “Thank you, Madison Square Garden.”
Harry, who was part of One Direction’s boy group, met the queen in London at the Royal Variety Performance. The group consisted of Harry, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik as well as Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson. The Queen wore a white-and-black outfit while Harry wore black.

Elton John, the singer, paid tribute earlier Thursday to Queen Elizabeth II during his final concert at Toronto. He said he was inspired to do so and is sorry she is gone. “She led the country through some of our greatest and darkest moments with grace and decency and genuine caring.”
He also said, “I am 75 and she has been with me all of my life. It is very sad that she will no longer be with me, but it is a relief to know that she is at peace. She deserves it and I’m glad she is at peace. She worked bloody hard,” John said. He then performed Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me, his 1974 song.
Queen died at her summer home, Balmoral Castle in Scotland, on Thursday, at the age of just 96. In 1998, John was knighted in the Queen’s honour, one year after the death Princess Diana. Prince Charles also anointed the musician as a Companions of Honour member last year.

After her condition worsened, the longest-reigning monarch of the UK was placed under medical supervision. Buckingham Palace issued an official statement, referring to Charles, Prince-of- Wales, as the King. “The death of my beloved Mother, Her Majesty The Queen, is a moment of the greatest sadness for me and all members of my family. We mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished Sovereign and a much loved Mother. I know her loss will be deeply felt throughout the country, the Realms and the Commonwealth, and by countless people around the world,”According to the statement.
