There are 60 restaurants and shops now open. McArthurGlen Designer Outlet West Midlands. The Cannock-based shopping mall, which is located about an hour from Derby, celebrated its first anniversary earlier this month.
The £160 million outlet opened up on April 12, 2021, which was the first day that non-essential retail could reopen after the third national coronavirus lockdown last year. Adidas, Fred Perry (Hugh Boss), Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and Coach, Radley, Le Creuset are just a few of the stores that are currently open at the designer outlet.
Pizza Express, which joined Wagamama and Five Guys, was the latest restaurant to open on the site. Champion joined Chapelle and Vans, Chapelle, Puma and Carhartt WIP in March as the latest stores to open at the massive shopping mall. Birmingham Live reports.

The centre has provided 900 new jobs for the area in the last year. In addition, guests have enjoyed 30 tonnes of Haribo mix and more than 100,000 handbags. Others have drunk over 400,000 cups and updated their beauty routines with 888,000 beauty items.
The outlet is also dog-friendly, having welcomed over 50,000 dogs to the centre since April. Sustainability is still a key focus with 3,000 trees planted.
Below is a complete listing of all stores that have been open since launch and those that have closed in the twelve months since. One store was closed. Gap, which announced in July, last yearAs the brand moved online, all 81 of its UK stores would close.
The outlet’s Gap shop was closed at the close of September. The branch at Derbyshire’s East Midlands Designer Outlet was also closed.

Mike Thomas, centre manager, told Birmingham Live in late NovemberIt is expected that 12 to 14 additional stores will open by mid-2022. Then, they will look at expanding the centre and adding 50 more stores. The centre is open from 10am-8pm Monday to Friday, 10am-8pm on Saturdays, and 10am-6pm on Sundays.
There is also a South Normanton, Derbyshire outlet shopping center where a new Haribo store has opened its doors. The Barkery, by Frenchie Frenchie opened in March. It sells a wide variety of dog treats and is located just off the M1 or A38.
Radley London, a British brand of women’s accessories, opened a larger store in the South Normanton-based shopping center in January.
