BROOKLYN, NY — A popular annual fashion show on its way back to Brooklyn’s Central Library for the first time since the coronavirus crisis will transform the outdoor plaza into a catwalk this Friday.
The BKLYN Fashion Academy show — which was held virtually in 2021 — will debut the collections of the program’s latest slate of designers, who have spent 12 weeks working with industry experts.
The show is usually held in the library. This year, it will be held outside on the plaza just outside the Central Library’s front doors. Because so many people have been to the fashion academy shows in the past, the library had no choice but to close the doors once it reached capacity.
The theme will be repeated for this year’s event “American History En Vogue”Include a celebration after the runway shows.
