Anne, 39 years old, will play Sophie, a 40 year-old woman who is divorcing and falls for 24-yearold boy bander Hayes Campbell. Deadline reported Thursday.
Michael Showalter, who has previously directed The Eyes Of Tammy Faye as well as The Big Sick, will direct the movie.

Jennifer Westfeldt has starred in Friends With Kids, Kissing Jessica Stein, and many other films. She has also written the script and will serve as executive producer.
Anne, Cathy Schulman and Gabrielle Union will produce The Idea of You. Jordana Mollick and Eric Hayes will also produce the book. Robinne Lee is the author.
Production will begin in October.
Deadline reports that The Idea of You will follow Sophie, a 40 year-old divorced mother.

The 2017 publication of the book has been called a’sleeper success’. Vogue The novel’s sales have increased each year since its publication. In 2019, the novel saw a 20% increase in sales.
Robinne stated to the fashion magazine that “This was never meant to be a Harry Styles book.”

“It was supposed that it would be about a woman at 40 who reclaims her sexuality, rediscovers herself, and this just as society views women as unattainable and not viable.
Styles may be the inspiration for Hayes’ creation, but Robinne had multiple sources to create Hayes.
Lee responded, “Inspired is an ominous word,” when asked if Harry was the inspiration behind this book.
