Noi Vong, club owner, was fascinated by Charlotte’s unique and fascinating concept of Bazal Gallery/Nightclub. A venue at the crossroads of art and nightlife was something we had never seen before — up until now.
With several events such as soft openings, media previews and private gatherings already taking place at the venue, night owls across the city are eager to get a closer look at what lies beyond the gallery’s front doors once the club opens on June 25. (If you haven’t RSVP’d yet, you’ll have to go another day, as the grand opening is sold out.)
What some don’t know, however, is that there’s one key element to Bazal that the staff at the club will be adamant in protecting — what Vong describes simply as “the vibe.”

While anyone can pay a membership fee to join, not everyone can meet the high standards required by the grand establishment. An art gallery sits on the top floor of the building, above the venue’s club, and by way of a strict dress code, aspiring party-goers will be expected to be as artful as their surroundings are. Fashion is an art form in itself.
Vong stated that the club seeks patrons who have put a lot of thought into their wardrobes. According to Vong, dream patrons take pride at how their looks are executed.
“Don’t just roll out of bed in sandals and shorts and expect to get into a red carpet place,”CharlotteFive interviewed Vong. “It’s a place that’s going to challenge you, like, ‘Hey, elevate your game. Step it up.”
And Bazal’s strict dress code certainly reflects Vong’s vision. According to the club’s VIP terms and conditions, attire that is “sexy, chic, sophisticated, classy, and tasteful,”It is a must.

“The art and music at Bazal … is a high-quality experience for those who like to dress up in style,”The venue’s site states. “This atmosphere helps you feel like part of something special, no matter what your mood may be.”
Here’s what the dress code policyIf guests plan to stop by Bazal Gallery or Nightclub, they are discouraged from wearing it.

Nightclub vs. beach club
It is obvious that patrons in flip flops, shorts, and hats will be refused entry. These items are strictly prohibited, regardless of their origin.
If the shoe fits …
